Support Covid Relief for Adivasi Communities (ALM)
Adivasi Lives Matter
Adivasi Lives Matter is a platform that works towards amplifying Adivasi and Tribal voices of India. Since 2016, ALM has trained around 130 youth in the art of digital storytelling in five states of India.
ALM is organizing an Emergency COVID-19 relief for the most vulnerable and remotest Adivasis from our project states of Chhattisgarh, Tripura and Tamil Nadu in this second wave. These people belong to the remotest tribes of India who do not have basic health care facilities.
We will be providing them with:
- Ration kits during lockdown
- Masks
- Medical kits
- Awareness campaigns for vaccination
Location
- Tamil Nadu – Kattu Nayakans, Kurumbas and Paniyans in Nilgiri districts
- Chhattisgarh – Kamar and Bhunjiyas in Gariaband and Dhamtari districts (Nagri and Magarlod blocks)
- Tripura – Reang, Kokborok and Mulson tribes from West Tripura district
Beneficiaries
Food relief kits to 6000 families,
Masks and primary medicines to 15,000 individuals
Vaccination awareness to encourage 75,000 people to get vaccinated over next few months
Budget
Food Relief: Rs.1000/ per family
Personal protection: Rs.100/ per family
Vaccination awareness: Rs.10000/ per 1000 individuals
